Quoting Andrew Murray #4

This is my fourth post featuring quotes from Andrew Murray. (The first, second, and third.)
Through sin, the world has fallen away from God. In Christ, the world has been redeemed. But God cannot show people what they ought to be except through the people of God in whom His life, spirit, and power are at work. When the redemption of Christ was completed by the descent of the Holy Spirit into the hearts of His people, this indwelling was restored and God regained possession of His home. Where we surrender ourselves wholly to the presence of the Holy Spirit, we may become, in the fullest meaning of the word, people of God! ~ Andrew Murray, The Believer's Daily Renewal
Nearness to God and the Lamb and fellowship with them constitute the blessedness of heaven. To be before the throne of God and to see His face; to serve Him day and night in His temple; to be overshadowed by Him who sits upon the throne; to be fed and led by the Lamb; all these expressions point out how little the blessedness of heaven depends on anything else than on God and the Lamb. To see them, to have conversation with them, to be acknowledged, loved, and cared for by them--that is blessedness. ~ Andrew Murray, The Blood of Christ
We find the Christian life difficult because we seek for God's blessing while we live according to our own will! We make our own plans and choose our own work, and then we ask the Lord Jesus to come in and see that sin doesn't overtake us too much and that we will not wander too far off the path. But our relationship to Jesus ought to be such that we are entirely at His disposal!  ~ Andrew Murray, Divine Healing
There is none holy but God; we have as much holiness as we have God. And according to what we have of God will be our real humility, because humility is nothing but the disappearance of self in the vision that God is all. The holiest will be the humblest. ~ Andrew Murray, Humility
Flee to Jesus and hide yourselves in Him until you are clothed with His humility. That alone is holiness. ~ Andrew Murray, Humility
From beginning to end, from Paradise lost to Paradise regained, the law is unchanged: It is obedience that gives access to the tree of life and the favor of God. How was the change effected? The cross of Christ. From disobedience at the beginning that closed the way to the tree of life, to obedience at the end that gained entrance to it again, that which stands midway between the beginning and the end is the cross of Christ. ~ Andrew Murray, A Life of Obedience
